I record my music in my home in Colorado and write, record, mix, master, etc everything myself. I recently released What Never Was under the band name Far From Friday. Visit farfromfriday.com. Previously, I released two full length albums under my name, The Wonder of It All and Shaken Ground. You can find them on iTunes or Spotify. If you'd like a physical CD, I'd be happy to give you one, so feel free to contact me.
You can also listen to both albums here.

The Wonder of It All is my first album, released in July 2014. It was recorded in my basement with an $80 microphone and a midi controller. It features mostly acoustic guitars and vocals, but there is the occasional drum, piano, orchestra part mixed in there. The focus on this album is vocal harmonies -- they appear on most tracks including Already Home which is entirely vocals. I spent a long time editing this album to make it sound as nice as possible with the small amount of inexpensive equipment that I had. A big thanks to Grubbs for the great feedback during that process. Listen to it here! Or read the lyrics.
Here's a video of the song The Wonder of It All.
Shaken Ground is my most recent album, released 12/16/14. It is a bit more raw than The Wonder of It All and features only acoustic guitar, bass, piano, vocals, and drums. The focus was on making a simple, cohesive, imperfect album. The sound was influenced by the fact that I'm borrowing my friend's piano while he's out of town (thanks, Will!). I also purchased a much nicer microphone for the recording, so it sounds crisper than my first. Listen to it here!
I'm really happy with Shaken Ground. I think it's about tragedies, both big and small, public and personal. Wasted days, lost lives, ending relationships, untapped love, missed experiences, and hey, why not a little environmental destruction. But I hope the album also reminds us to live in the moment and see a life ahead that's full of possibilities... sometimes it takes a tragedy to wake up and start to live again. Listen to it here! Here's a great 7 minute piece about an inspiring artist from Colorado. I was very fortunate to be able to compose the music for this film.
Here's my first attempt at recording a video. This is the entirety of my home studio :)
I'm currently the chair of the math department at Red Rocks Community College near Golden, CO. I have a number of math videos that I use in my classes that you may find to be helpful. The topics range from pre-algebra to differential equations.
I use these videos to supplement my lectures, or to partially "flip" my classroom. For more info on what this means, view my brief online flipped classroom training here.
This is a short training on how to flip a classroom using instructional videos. Feel free to use any of my videos below or start making your own using these instructions!
This is the first video in the course. To view the entire differential equations course in youtube, click here. Or copy/paste: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIOf9vAXVvjBLh0XNxbO9vOjJMtUvR3Zf
Here are some older videos on algebra basics. It's an entire elementary algebra course.
These are some VERY old videos covering fractions to decimals to lines and everything in between. The intent is to serve as a review for students taking math placement tests.
